AC/DC MODULE
AC/DC converters convert Alternating Current (AC) input into Direct Current (DC) output. Rectifiers are another name for AC/DC Converters, which transform the input AC voltage into variable DC voltage before optimizing it through a filter to produce an unregulated DC voltage.
AC/DC power supplies are commonly used for efficient power supply to multiple devices.A transformer steps up or down adjusting the voltage to the device’s level. Diodes rectify the voltage, transforming sinusoidal AC waves into positive peaks. Waveform fluctuation must be eliminated to avoid harming the load’s output. A filter is incorporated to maintain a steady and clean output voltage that matches the peak of the original AC input wave.
These devices are compact in design and are energy efficient which eliminates the need for multiple inverters or converters.
