Crane Controls
Crane Controls
The crane’s controls enable an operator to direct the crane’s and the hoist’s movement. The control influences three forms of motion of the crane components which are – crane motion, hoist positioning and hoist lifting motion which are responsible for the movement of the crane, lateral movement and rising and lowering of the hook respectively.
Cranes can be operated either from the cabin that is adjacently attached to the equipment or using a push button pendant system that is attached to the equipment or can be integrated with a radio transmitter for wireless operations. When operating the crane from the cabin, help of others is necessary for the precise placement of the object. When using radio transmitting controllers the operator has proper visibility regarding the placement of the object hence it is considered as a robust solution.
